How it all started...
Faith Christian Church was founded in 1979 with 60 members. It started in what was once a carpet store across the street from the current location.
In 1994 Pastor Joseph Fegenbush came to the church and has been here ever since. Here's a little of his story...
Joseph and his wife Brenda were invited to Faith Christian to sing one Sunday morning. They came back the following Sunday and he gave a sermon on "The Potter’s Wheel” and the congregation never let him go!
Joseph was 32 years old at the time and they had three young daughters: Sarah, Charity, and Mary. After serving on the mission field for 7 years, they came back to Kerrville and he worked as an automobile mechanic for 6 years.
The church was looking for a pastor and he brought Hope to them when they were on the brink of closing. Here we are 28 years later and pastor Joseph shows no sign of slowing down. His daughters are all grown and have families of their own, Pastor Joseph and Brenda now enjoy 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He is a " King James" boy. Always has been, and always will be. He mostly enjoys the 1611 edition. He has been taught by God-fearing men who had the faith and patience of Job. He knows that nothing is impossible for those who believe.
